What If The Tongue Of The Animal Has Been Cut Off?

What if the tongue of the animal has been cut off:

In a goat, cutting off the tongue is not considered as a defect.  However, in a cow it is considered to be so.  The jurists have clarified that this is because the goat ruminates using its teeth and a cow using its tongue.  Thus, if the tongue has been cut off, then sacrifice of such an animal is correct.  However, if the same has been done to a cow, then it will be seen how much of the tongue has been cut off.  If more than 1/3rd of the tongue has been cut off, then sacrifice of such an animal is not correct.  If it is less than that, then it is permissible.
