Among the secrets of the Noble Prophet's Mosque is a silver plate on the Golden Chamber in Madinah, from where the salams to the beloved Prophet ļ·ŗ are offered. It is situated on the door of Sayyida Aisha (Allah Almighty be pleased with her) also known as the Gate of Repentance (ŲØŲ§ŲØ Ų§ŁŲŖŁŲØŲ©). It was gifted by the 14th Ottoman ruler Sultan Ahmad I in the 11th Hijri century, 1026H/1617CE and it starts with an inscription of the Glourious Quranic Verses:
"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful."
"O Prophet inform My servants that I am the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.(Surah Al-Hijr (15) Verse 49)
O Prophet, indeed We have sent you as a observing witness, a bringer of good tidings, a warner, and one who invites to Allah, by His permission, and an illuminating lamp. And give good tidings to the believers that they will have from Allah great bounty. (Surah Al-Ahzab (33) Verse 45-47)
Then the inscription continues:
"O Allah, the Most Merciful, by the virtue of this noble Prophet ļ·ŗ, forgive Your servant who submits to the rulings of the great Shari'a of your Prophet, Sultan Ahmed, son of Sultan Muhammad, son of Sultan Murad, son of Sultan Selim, son of Sultan Suleiman, son of Sultan Selim, son of Sultan Bayezid, son of Sultan Muhammad, son of Sultan Murad, son of Sultan Bayezid, son of Sultan Murad, son of Sultan Orkhan, son of Sultan Osman. Grant him victory and clear triumph."
[By Sultan Ahmed (of Ottoman Empire) gifted in the year 1026AH] ."
Likewise, it is written on the sides of the tablet: "There is no god but Allah, the True King, the Manifest, Muhammad (ļ·ŗ) is the Messenger of Allah, the Truthful, the Trustworthy."
