Modesty of Prophet Muhammad Pbuh

Modesty of Prophet Muhammad Pbuh ﷺ

Despite having been praised in the Quran by Allah, exceptional character, impressive grandeur and awe, Rasoolullah ﷺ said: "Do not go to excess in priaing me as the Christians went in excess in praising Isa alaihissalam, the son of Maryam alaiha assalam, for I am but a servant. Say instead: 'Allah's servant and Messenger'". _(Shamail by Imam Tirmidhi)_

*Lent His armors to a Jew:* Rasoolullah ﷺ had lent some armors to a Jew (as a collateral) and did not find money to get it back until he passed away." This Jew's name was Abu al-Shahm. Imam Bajuri and others state that Rasoolullah ﷺ did not want to borrow any money from his companions because they would have most likely given to him for free and as always, He ﷺ would not have ever burdened them. _Allahu akbar!_ _(Shamail by Imam Tirmidhi)_

*Rasoolullah's ﷺ simplicity while performing Hajj:* While on Hajj, Rasoolullah ﷺ used on his animal a dry and extremely old saddle, and kept on it an old and worn-out woolen blanket worth less than 4 dirhams. He then prayed: "O Allah, make my Hajj free of showing off or seeking to he heard." _(Shamail by Imam Tirmidhi)_

Remember, the prophets are infallible and it is impossible for Rasoolullah ﷺ to be affected with whims like showoffs . He said these words to tell his ummah as to how to remain steadfast and maintain iqlas - pure in intentions.
