How to Reach Jannah Heaven Paradise

The importance of praying for Heaven Jannah Paradise

How to reach Jannah

Abu Huraira narrates that Prophet (Pbuh) said, “When a person seeks refuge from Hell seven times, Hell says to Allah, ‘0 my Lord, Your slave so-ancI-so sought refuge from me, so give him refuge.’ When a person asks for Heaven seven times, Heaven says to Allah, ‘0 my Lord, Your slave so-and-so asked for me, so enter him into Heaven. (Abu Ya’la)

Abu Salih Dhakwan narrates from one Sahabi that Rasulullah (pbuh) asked a person, “How do you make dua’ in salah?” He said, “1 make tashahhud & 1 say, ‘0 Allah, 1 ask you for Heaven & 1 seek refuge with you from Hell. (Abu Dawood)

We should try to learn this simple dua’ & use it to ask for Heaven . There will be more blessing in this dua because it narrated from a Sahabi who recited in front of Rasulullah

The importance of working towards Heaven Jannah Paradise

No one from amongst us has a guarantee that he will reach Heaven. One hadlth in Sahih Bukhari & Sahih Muslim mentions that a person will do the actions of the people of Heaven until he is only a hand-span away from Heaven. Then, what is written for him will overtake him & he will do the actions of the people of Hell until he enters into hell. It is true that Allah has guaranteed to eventually enter into Heaven anyone who recites the Kalima with sincerity, but no believer has a guarantee that he will leave this world in a state of Imaan. Therefore, it is necessary for every believer to constantly work to please Allah Sin order to die with Imaan.

Allah Says, “& for this let all those strive who want to strive. (81 – 26)

Allah also Says, “& hasten towards forgiveness from Your Lord, & for a Heaven prepared for the pious, as wide as the heavens & the earth.” (3:133)

Ibn Abi Dunya narrates from Sulaimaan Ad-Darani that there was a youngster living in Iraq who used to worship Allah in abundance. He went on a journey with his friend to Mecca, & he would perform Salah when they would rest. When they would cat, he would fast. His friend put up with him until the journey ended & they were about to go their separate ways. Then, he said to him, “my brother. Please tell me, why are you doing this?” He answered, “In my dream, I saw a·palace from Heaven. There was a brick of gold & a brick of silver. Where the building finished, there was a balcony made of ruby & a balcony made of emerald, between these two balconies was a Hoor standing with her hair loose. She was wearing silver clothes which moved when she moved. She said, ‘Work towards the pleasure of Allah to reach me.’ By Allah, I am working towards the pleasure of Allah to reach her & this is why you see me fasting & performing Salah. (Hadiyul Arwah 436)

Price of Heaven

Allah Ta’la says, “Definitely, Allah has purchased the lives & wealth or the believers for the price of Heaven. They fight in the path of Allah, so they kill the enemy or are killed. Allah has Made this promise with truth in the Torah, Gospel, & the Quran. Who can be more true to his promise than’ Allah? Be happy with the transaction which you have completed. This [transaction] is the true success. (9 – 111)

Allah has made Heaven the price for the lives & wealth or the believers, i.e. Allah Ta’la is the buyer with Heaven as His price & we are the sellers of our lives & wealth. When we spend both in the path of Allaah, we will deserve this price.

Fulfilling one’s desires in Heaven can be achieved only by controlling one’s desires in this world Allaah Ta’la says, & Heaven will be the place of residence for that person who fears standing in front of his Lord & restrains himself from evil desires & just.” (79 – 40)

Sahl bin Sa’d narrates that Prophet (Pbuh) said, “He who guarantees me that he will protect his tongue & private parts (by protecting them from evil & fulfilling his desires lawfully), I will guarantee him Heaven. (Sahih Bukhari – 6474)

The great reward for controlling one’s sexual desires in this world lbn Abbas narrates that Prophet said, “The person who falls in love, remains chaste, conceals this [from others], & dies is a shahid.” Munawi explains that the love mentioned in the above hadith refers to a love with a woman with whom marriage is possible & it is such a severe love which affects all the body parts. Although this love could occur because of looking & hearing, this is not necessary because Allaah ~ can place this love in a person’s heart without any apparent cause. The person who remains chaste despite being afflicted by this severe love & thereafter dies will receive the reward of a shahid in the hereafter. The rank of a person who remains chaste is similar to the rank of a person who dies fighting in the path of Allaah Ta’la because hath have sacrificed their pleasure for the sake of Allaah Just as a fighter sacrificed his life for the uplifment of the religion of Allaah, the chaste person strives against his desires for the sake of Allaah Ta’la.99 (faidlul qadir darul ma’rifah Beirut) The youth especially should strive to remain chaste in order to gain this virtue.

The need for struggling & undergoing difficulty in order to reach Heaven

Anas bin Malik narrates that Prophet (Pbuh) said, “Hellfire has been covered with desires & Heaven has been covered with difficulties.” (Sahih Bukhari & Muslim)

The road to Heaven is filled with difficulties. A person has to worship Allah Ta’la, stand   in salah, spend from his wealth, cat only that which Allah Ta’la has allowed, & many other obligations. This requires him to go against his desire & strive to please Allah Ta’la. On the other hand, it is ‘cry easy to follow one’s desires & reach the hellfire. A smart person will undergo the temporary difficulties of this world in order to gain the eternal pleasures or the hereafter.

Abu Huraira narrates that Prophet (Pbuh) said, “When Allah Ta’la created Heaven & Jahannum (hellfire), He sent Jibrail to Heaven & said, ‘See what I have prepared for its inhabitants,’ Jibrael came saw what Allah Subhanawa ta'la prepared for the inhabitants Heaven. He returned to Allah Ta’la & said, by the earth of Your Honor, every person who hear about Heaven will enter it.’ Allah Ta’la commanded & Heaven was surrounded by hardships & difficulty, Allah told to Jibrael to go to Heaven once again & to examine it he returned & saw that now Heaven was surrounded by difficulties. He returned to Allah & said by the earth of Your honor, I fear than no one will enter into Heaven now.’ Allah then said to him “go to Jahannum & see what i have prepared for its inhabitants Jibrael came to Jahannum & saw what Allah had prepared for its inhabitants. He saw that parts of Jahannum were riding on each other. He returned to Allah & said by the oath of Your Honor every person who hears about Jahannum will around entering it. Allah commanded & Jahannum was surrounded by desires. Jibrail returned to Jahannum said, by the oath of your Honor, I fear that everyone will enter into Jahannam. (Ahmad, Tirmidhi)

Abn Huraira narrates that Prophet (Pbuh) said, “He who fears will travel during the first portion of the night, & he who travels during the first portion of the night will reach his destination. Listen, Allah’s merchandise is expensive. Allah’s merchandise is Heaven. (Tirmidhl)

The meaning of this hadith is that when a person has fear over losing something, he undertakes difficulty & hardship to secure & protect it. The most valuable object of a person is Heaven & pleasure of Allah Ta’la in the hereafter. Therefore, the traveler on the journey of the hereafter should sacrifice his desires & comforts in fulfilling the commands of Allah Ta’la. If people are willing to sacrifice years of effort, time, & money for a good life in this temporary world, then how much more sacrifice should be made for the permanent life of Heaven?

The purpose of hearing about Heaven is to turn one’s attention to the hereafter

Usamah narrates that Prophet (Pbuh) said, “Listen, is there anyone preparing for Heaven? [You should all prepare for Heaven] because no one can imagine what Heaven will be like. I take the oath of the Lord of the Ka’abah Heaven is a light which shine. In Heaven there are fragrant plants which away in the breeze, lofty mansions, long rivers, abundant ripe fruit, beautiful wives, & many clothes. [The dweller of jamaal will be in] an eternal place where there will be happiness & brightness [he will live in] high, safe, & beautiful rooms. The companions said, “we will work towards Heaven”. Prophet (Pbuh) said, “say [that you will do so] if Allah wills (Ibn Majah)

While it is very enjoyable to learn about Heaven, the real objective is to work towards Heaven. All the readers should also make the intention to make the hereafter the purpose of then life.

May Allah grant us the ability to strive for His Pleasure in this world & grant us a death with Imaan. May Allah grant every Muslim the highest level of Jannat al Firdaus. May Allah if grant us the greatest Bounties of Jannat; His pleasure & the sight of His Being may Allah guide the Muslim youth to Understanding the reality of this world & the reality of the Hereafter Aameen.

A human being has his own understanding of beauty which is confined to his limited & deficient knowledge. Allah in his infinite knowledge & wisdom- has described the women of Heaven as beautiful, so we can imagine how beautiful these women must be! Prophet (Pbuh) said, “If one woman of Heaven were to glance towards the earth, she would fill the space between the earth & the sky with light & perfume. The scarf on her head is better than the world & all it contains.” (Sahih Bukhari)

If just the scarf on the head of one woman of Heaven is better than the world & all it contains, then how valuable is the woman herself? It becomes easier to sacrifice the desires in view of these great rewards of the Hereafter. Besides the promise of these eternal rewards of the Hereafter, there is little that can control the desires of man, especially the desires of the youth.
